India witnessed a significant increase in mobile phone exports, crossing Rs 2 lakh crore in the fiscal year 2024-25, with Apple’s iPhone contributing a substantial Rs 1.5 lakh crore to the total. This surge highlights the country’s growing presence in the global electronics market. To further enhance the electronics manufacturing ecosystem and promote value addition and job opportunities, the Indian government has introduced a lucrative incentive scheme worth Rs 22,919 crore. This initiative aims to propel the sector towards achieving higher levels of growth and competitiveness in the international market.
