PM Modi defends Waqf Act amendments, criticizes UPA’s appeasement policies, prioritizing justice for victims and common Muslims.

In a recent address, Prime Minister Modi staunchly defended the amendments made to the Waqf Act, claiming they are a corrective measure to rectify the appeasement policies of the previous UPA government that allegedly favored fundamentalists and land grabbers, ultimately leading to India’s Partition. He argued that the amendments introduced in 2013 had prioritized the interests of the land mafia over the principles enshrined in the Constitution, thus impeding justice for the victims. The Prime Minister emphasized that the new amendments are designed to safeguard the rights of the common Muslim citizens. The legislation was passed by the Parliament following thorough deliberation and extensive public consultation.
