In a recent development related to the 2002 Godhra train burning incident, three individuals who were juveniles at the time of the crime have been awarded a three-year jail term by the Juvenile Justice Board. This decision comes 14 years after 31 other individuals were convicted in the case. The incident took place on the Sabarmati Express, resulting in the tragic death of 59 kar sevaks. The convicted individuals, who are now 40 years old, were 17 at the time of the incident. Two suspects involved in the case have been acquitted, and one passed away during the trial proceedings.
