In a significant development related to the 2002 Godhra train burning case, three juveniles involved in the Sabarmati Express arson have been awarded a three-year jail term by the Juvenile Justice Board. This decision comes 14 years after 31 others were convicted in the case which resulted in the tragic death of 59 kar sevaks. The convicted individuals, who are now 40 years old, were merely 17 at the time of the incident. It is worth noting that two suspects were acquitted, and one passed away during the course of the trial. This verdict sheds new light on a long-standing case that has had far-reaching implications in India.
