Senior Congress leader and renowned literary figure Kumari Ananthan, aged 93, has passed away in Chennai due to age-related illness. Ananthan, a five-time Tamil Nadu Assembly member and former Lok Sabha MP, leaves behind a legacy of political and literary contributions. His daughter, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan, mourned his loss, highlighting his deep affection for the Tamil language. Ananthan’s body will be kept for paying last respects at Soundararajan’s Chennai residence.
