Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have re-entered the Indian equities market, infusing close to Rs 8,500 crore in the past week, indicating a restored faith in India’s economic strength. This surge in investments comes at a time when the growth outlook for the U.S. and China appears to be dimming, in contrast to India’s projected 6 per cent growth rate. FPIs are showing a keen interest in sectors driven by domestic consumption, as they view India as a promising investment destination.
