Former IAS officer Pradeep Sharma, along with three others, has been handed a five-year rigorous imprisonment by a Kutch court in Gujarat for their involvement in a land case dating back to 2011. The case pertains to irregularities in the allotment of government land to Saw Pipes Pvt Ltd in 2004, during Sharma’s tenure as the district collector, resulting in financial loss. In addition to the prison sentence, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the accused. This verdict marks a significant development in the legal proceedings surrounding the high-profile case.
