BJP MP Dubey targets ex-CEC Quraishi, calls him ‘Muslim commissioner’ over Waqf Act criticism, faces party backlash.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Nishikant Dubey has sparked controversy by targeting former Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quraishi as a ‘Muslim commissioner’ amidst criticism of the Waqf (Amendment) Act. Dubey accused Quraishi of allegedly aiding Bangladeshi infiltrators in voter registration. This latest incident comes on the heels of Dubey’s contentious comments regarding the Supreme Court and Chief Justice of India (CJI), prompting the BJP to disassociate itself from his remarks challenging the court’s authority.
