Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Name Daughter Devi

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh introduced their second daughter as Devi Padukone Singh in a family photo shared on October 20.

The couple shared the name on Dussehra

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh revealed their second daughter’s name as Devi Padukone Singh in a joint social-media post on October 20. The announcement was accompanied by a family photograph featuring the newborn and the couple’s elder daughter, Dua. The post gave the first public name for the child, whose arrival the actors had announced the previous month. The Indian Express, NDTV and Moneycontrol each reported the name and family-photo announcement independently on Tuesday evening.

A name announcement followed the September birth notice

The actors announced the birth on September 19, 2026, but did not include the baby’s name in that notice. Their October 20 post supplied that detail and showed the four-member family together. NDTV and Moneycontrol both date the second child’s birth to September 19; The Indian Express also records the earlier announcement. This separates the new name reveal from the birth announcement itself: the October post is the material development covered here.

The first family portrait since the birth

The three reports describe the post as a family photograph with the newborn and Dua. The Indian Express says the image showed the parents in ivory and gold outfits and Dua leaning toward her younger sister; Moneycontrol also describes all four family members in the picture. The story is limited to the couple’s public announcement and the details independently reported by the outlets. It does not infer anything about the children’s private lives or add claims beyond the published post and coverage.

What the announcement confirms

The confirmed update is the name Devi Padukone Singh and the couple’s decision to share a family photograph on October 20. The name was reported in both English and Devanagari by The Indian Express. The public coverage places the reveal on Dussehra and identifies the child as the couple’s second daughter. No further personal details are needed to report the milestone.
