Ravindra returns to the opening squad
New Zealand has announced two squads for its five-match home ODI series against India, with Mitchell Santner as captain. Rachin Ravindra is included for the opening three matches, according to separate reports from The Indian Express and The Times of India on Sunday.
Ravindra had missed selection for the preceding T20I series because of a shoulder injury. His place in the ODI group marks a change from that earlier announcement. The opening squad also includes Devon Conway, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson.

Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert are named for the fourth and fifth ODIs. The Times of India reports that Allen and Ferguson last played ODI cricket in 2023, while Seifert has been away from the format for about 18 months.
Kristian Clarke, Matt Fisher, Mitch Hay and Nick Kelly also enter the revised group. Santner, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Jacob Duffy, Blair Tickner and Will Young appear in both squads. Some players will head to Wellington after the third ODI to prepare for the Test series, the report says.

The ODI opener is scheduled for November 4 at Eden Park in Auckland. Before that, the teams play five T20Is between October 22 and November 1. The Indian Express lists the remaining ODIs on November 7, 10, 13 and 15.
The newspaper reports that India has announced its T20I squad but has yet to name its ODI and Test groups. New Zealand coach Rob Walter linked the ODI matches to preparations for the 2027 World Cup in the team’s announcement.
