When will Maatrubhumi open in cinemas?
Salman Khan announced in Mumbai on November 6 that Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace will open in cinemas across India on Friday, December 4, 2026. Press Trust of India reported the announcement from the promotional event, and Free Press Journal separately reported the same date from the trailer launch.
The date came after conflicting coverage earlier in the day. Bollywood Hungama had reported November 20. The reports of the launch give no streaming date.

Khan told reporters that the film had gone through several release plans before the team settled on December. The remarks came as the film’s producers were showing the trailer in Mumbai.
