Sidharth Malhotra shared a glimpse of a leg injury on Tuesday, posting an Instagram Story that showed his leg supported by a medical walking boot. NDTV reported the update on October 13 and noted the actor’s light-hearted caption: “I took ‘break a leg’ too seriously.” The photograph was a personal update rather than a detailed account of his condition.

NDTV’s earlier report said the cause of the injury and details of his recovery had not been disclosed with that Story. The image and caption alone therefore offered only a limited picture: they showed the support he was wearing, without explaining a diagnosis or a recovery schedule.

A separate video explains the rehearsal mishap

Later reporting by The Indian Express supplied additional context from attendee videos of an Ambani event in Jamnagar. In those clips, Malhotra told the gathering that he had injured his leg during rehearsals just hours before he was due to perform. He said he had become excited and jumped too much, describing the mishap in his own words.

The Express reported that he spoke about visiting a hospital and receiving advice not to jump during the appearance. He thanked the Ambani family for arranging care and invited the audience to dance even though he could not join them in the same way. This explanation came from the separate event footage, rather than from the brief Instagram photograph.

The two reports document different parts of the update: NDTV covered the walking-boot Story, while The Indian Express also described his account at the event. The latter identified The Vvaan, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, as his latest film, released on September 25.
