Fourteen members of the banned CPI (Maoist) Party have surrendered to the Bhadradri Kothagudem Police in India, citing their awareness of welfare initiatives for tribal communities as the reason for their decision. The surrendering Maoists were educated on the various benefits available to them, including government schemes, during an Athmeeya Sammelanam organized by the police. SP Rohith Raju disclosed that a total of 44 Maoists have surrendered in recent times, pointing towards a decline in support for the party and its outdated ideologies. The surrender of these individuals signifies a positive step towards peace and development in the region.
