AP’s GSDP expected to witness 12.94% growth in 2024-25: Socio-economic survey

Andhra Pradesh is set to witness a significant economic growth with its Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) projected to reach Rs 16.06 lakh crore by 2024-25, reflecting a growth rate of 12.94%. However, the state is also expected to face a substantial debt burden, with total debt likely to touch Rs 5,64,488 crores. Revenue from own tax sources is anticipated to be Rs 94,967 crores, supplemented by central transfers amounting to ₹89,157 crores. Despite the promising economic outlook, Andhra Pradesh is estimated to grapple with a revenue deficit of Rs 48,311 crores, highlighting the need for strategic financial planning and management in the coming years.
