Around 50 youngsters from Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected villages in Chhattisgarh showcased their talent in a volleyball tournament organized by Bhadradri Kothagudem district police and CRPF at Cherla near the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. District Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Raju highlighted the significance of the event in engaging with the youth, encouraging sportsmanship, and raising awareness about government welfare programs. The initiative seeks to support educational, healthcare, and transportation infrastructure development in the secluded tribal regions. The tournament provided a platform for the youngsters to exhibit their skills and foster a spirit of camaraderie. By engaging in such activities, the authorities aim to promote a sense of community and well-being among the youth in these rural areas. This event signifies a step towards bridging the gap between law enforcement agencies and the local youth, fostering a positive relationship and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports. The tournament not only showcased the athletic abilities of the participants but also highlighted the potential for growth and development in these underprivileged communities. Initiatives like these play a crucial role in empowering the youth, promoting social cohesion, and driving progress in remote regions.
