Kannada actress Ranya Rao was recently apprehended at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport for allegedly smuggling 17 gold bars weighing 14.2kg from Dubai. The daughter of a senior IPS officer, Ranya has been placed in three-day custody by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. She has been instructed to assist with the ongoing investigation.
