Kannada actress Ranya Rao was apprehended with 17 gold bars, totaling 14.2kg, at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport in an alleged smuggling incident from Dubai. Ranya, who is the daughter of a high-ranking IPS officer, has been placed in a three-day custody by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. She has been instructed to assist with the ongoing investigation into the matter.
