Chhattisgarh-Telangana border youth excel in police-organized volleyball tournament, promoting sports and community engagement.

Around 50 youngsters from Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected villages in Chhattisgarh showcased their talent in a recent volleyball tournament organized by Bhadradri Kothagudem district police and CRPF at Cherla, near the Telangana border. The event, spearheaded by District Superintendent of Police Rohit Raju, not only provided a platform for the youth to shine but also served as a means to engage with them, encourage sportsmanship, and raise awareness about various government welfare schemes. The tournament is part of a larger initiative aimed at promoting education, healthcare, and improving transportation infrastructure in the remote tribal areas bordering Chhattisgarh and Telangana. By fostering a spirit of camaraderie and competition through sports, the organizers hope to instill a sense of community pride and empowerment among the youth in these underprivileged regions. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from the young athletes, highlighting the potential for sports to serve as a catalyst for positive change and development in these marginalized communities.
