In a significant development, two additional judges, R Sakthivel and P Dhanabal, have been appointed as permanent judges of the Madras High Court. The Chief Justice K R Shriram administered their oath on Monday, in accordance with the Supreme Collegium’s resolution. Both judges bring a wealth of judicial experience to their new roles, having served in important positions prior to their elevation. This appointment is expected to further strengthen the judiciary in Tamil Nadu and enhance the efficiency of the Madras High Court.
