The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to introduce a variable UPI payment system at toll plazas across the country to eradicate cash transactions and guarantee precise fee collection. The initiative has been piloted at the Kherki Dhaula toll plaza in Haryana and is slated for a nationwide rollout. This innovative system is designed to streamline the payment process, minimize transaction duration, and combat fraudulent activities, particularly unauthorized fund transfers facilitated by parallel software.
