Customs officials at Chennai International Airport made a significant seizure of eight exotic species from two passengers arriving from Kuala Lumpur. Among the haul were endangered Eastern Grey Gibbons, marbled polecats, a silvery lutung, and a Sumatran white-bearded palm civet. The Wildlife Crime Control Bureau swiftly identified the species, preventing the live animals from being deported back. The smugglers responsible for this illegal wildlife trade were apprehended and taken into custody for further investigation.
