Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has unveiled a strategy to elevate Srinagar into a prime tourist hub by boosting religious tourism and uncovering hidden border locations such as Gurez and Keran. The state aims to bolster its tourism infrastructure, which has already resulted in a surge of visitors, totaling 2.36 crore in 2024. This year alone, more than 1,000 tourism initiatives have been successfully executed.
