Telangana police, under the purview of the Cyber Security Bureau, have initiated action against agents who are enticing people into Myanmar’s cybercrime underworld. Nine First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed in connection with this illegal activity. The crackdown comes after 24 victims were rescued and brought back to India. The focus of the investigation is on the deceptive recruitment methods and coercive tactics employed by these agents through social media platforms. Authorities are currently working on uncovering additional cases and identifying more individuals involved in this illicit operation. The effort to dismantle this human trafficking network is ongoing as law enforcement agencies intensify their efforts to curb such criminal activities.
