Shiv Sena Minister Diverts Rs 10,000 Crore from Social Welfare to Ladki Bahin Yojana, Bypassing Key Departments

Sanjay Shirsat, the Social Justice Minister of Shiv Sena, recently brought attention to the Ladki Bahin Yojana and its impact on fund allocation in India. This initiative has led to a substantial shift of Rs 10,000 crore from social justice and tribal departments, affecting the budgets of crucial social welfare programs. While there has been an increase in funds allocated to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) components, other vital social welfare sectors have experienced a decrease in funding. A senior bureaucrat has verified the redirection of these funds, indicating a significant change in financial priorities within the Indian government.
