Chennai police detain BJP leaders, including Tamilisai Soundararajan, in protest over alleged TASMAC scam.

In a recent development, BJP state president K Annamalai was arrested by Chennai police en route to Egmore for a protest related to the alleged TASMAC scam. Former Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, alongside other senior party leaders, was also detained during the incident. Law enforcement authorities took preemptive measures by blocking the residences of BJP state and district office-bearers starting from 7 am, promptly apprehending them upon their departure for the demonstration.
