The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has declared the final redemption price for the Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2016-17 Series IV at Rs 8,634 per gram. Launched in March 2017 at Rs 2,943 per gram, investors have gained a substantial 193% return over the course of eight years, excluding interest. SGBs offer investors the benefits of capital appreciation, tax exemptions, and periodic interest payouts, making them a highly appealing investment avenue in the Indian market.
