Prominent orthopaedic surgeons have voiced concerns that PRP therapy, often recommended for knee arthritis, lacks substantial scientific backing and is being portrayed as a fraudulent treatment. Patients have been burdened by the exorbitant costs associated with this therapy, coupled with misleading promises, leading to financial strain and potential health complications. The council is expected to take decisive measures following the ongoing review of the situation.
