India’s net direct tax collections for the fiscal year have surged by 13.13% to over Rs 21.26 lakh crore, led by a significant rise in advance tax collections. Corporate tax collections witnessed a 12.54% growth, while non-corporate tax collections, encompassing personal income tax, experienced a substantial 20.47% surge. Additionally, the Securities Transaction Tax (STT) recorded an impressive nearly 56% increase.
