In a recent development in Mahbubnagar, a 21-year-old man named Duppala Anand, hailing from Keshavapur village, has been handed a life imprisonment sentence by the POCSO court for the heinous crime of raping a 14-year-old girl, eventually leading to her pregnancy. Along with the stringent punishment, Anand has also been fined Rs 50,000, and a compensation of Rs 5 lakh has been approved for the victim. This verdict marks a significant step towards justice for the victim and serves as a stern warning against such abhorrent acts.
