Maharashtra MLA claims Nagpur violence was pre-planned attack on Hindu properties, demands action and arrests.

Central Nagpur MLA Pravin Datke has alleged that the recent violence in Mahal on March 17 was not a spontaneous incident but a pre-planned attack on Hindu shops and vehicles. Datke criticized the city police for their failure to prevent the targeted violence despite the area’s known sensitivity. The lack of adequate police presence allowed the rioters to vandalize and damage properties belonging to the Hindu community. Datke has called for stringent action against those responsible for the violence, which led to the imposition of a curfew in the area and the arrest of several individuals. The incident has raised concerns about the security situation in Nagpur and the need for better law enforcement measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
