Authorities in North Macedonia have taken action by shutting down several nightclubs following a devastating fire at a live concert in Kocani that resulted in the tragic death of 59 individuals. The closure of the nightclubs comes after inspections uncovered various safety violations. At present, 16 people are in custody as investigations continue. The nation has declared a period of national mourning, with funeral arrangements being made for the victims, and those injured are being treated at hospitals in Europe.
