Maharashtra Cyber Cell Flags 140 Provocative Posts in Nagpur Violence – Authorities Issue Removal Notices

The Maharashtra Cyber department has identified more than 140 inflammatory social media posts concerning the recent violence in Nagpur. Notices have been sent out for the removal of objectionable content and to identify the users responsible. Authorities are cautioning the public against sharing unverified or provocative material. In the aftermath of the violence, 69 individuals, including political figures, have been apprehended. The unrest, which left 33 police officers injured, was reportedly connected to rumors surrounding VHP-led protests.
