This move underscores Trump’s support for the crypto industry, which has faced increased regulatory scrutiny under the Biden administration. Blockworks co-founder Jason Yanowitz highlighted the industry’s growth by noting the participation of 2,500 institutional players in the event. Trump’s address will be delivered via a video recording at 10:40 am, as confirmed by Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett. Trump’s involvement in the crypto space has been evident since his 2024 presidential campaign, where he pledged to make the US the “world’s crypto capital” and hinted at establishing a national Bitcoin reserve. During his current term, Trump has signed executive orders promoting digital assets, formed a White House crypto advisory team, and created a US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. He has appointed industry-friendly figures to key regulatory positions, such as the US Securities and Exchange Commission and Treasury Department. Bo Hines, from the President’s Council of Advisers on Digital Assets, recently spoke at the Summit, where Brad Garlinghouse of Ripple Labs announced the SEC’s decision to drop its enforcement action against the company. The agency has also dropped charges against other crypto firms under Trump’s administration.
