Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has unveiled a significant policy change for employees of the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC). He declared that GHRDC staff who successfully complete a two-year probation period without any complaints will be granted permanent status. Additionally, Sawant revealed plans to recruit an additional 4,000 employees by 2027 to bolster the workforce. In a move aimed at benefiting employees, the service tax on salaries will be eliminated, leading to an increase in take-home pay for the staff. Furthermore, eligible female employees will now be entitled to six months of paid maternity leave, a measure that is expected to improve work-life balance and support women in the workplace. These policy changes are expected to have a positive impact on employee morale and job security within the GHRDC.
