In a recent announcement, the Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant, revealed that employees of the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) who successfully complete a two-year probation period without any complaints will be granted permanent status. Additionally, the state government plans to recruit an additional 4,000 employees by the year 2027, aiming to strengthen the workforce in various sectors. Furthermore, in a move to benefit the employees, the government will abolish the service tax on salaries, leading to an increase in their take-home pay. Moreover, eligible women working in the GHRDC will now receive six months of paid maternity leave, a step towards supporting working mothers in the state. These new policies and initiatives are expected to not only improve job security for GHRDC staff but also enhance overall employee welfare and benefits in Goa.
