“UP ATS arrests Hizbul Mujahideen fugitive after 18 years on the run from authorities in Jammu and Kashmir”

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Moradabad police recently captured Ulfat Hussain, a long-absconding individual linked to the Hizbul Mujahideen, a militant outfit in Jammu and Kashmir. Hussain, who had evaded authorities for 18 years since 2008, was initially detained in 2002, granted bail in 2008, and subsequently assumed a clerical role in Moradabad. However, he disappeared soon after. This arrest marks a significant development in the efforts to curb terrorism in the region.
