Allahabad High Court has instructed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to paint the exterior facade of Sambhal Jama Masjid in response to a petition filed by the mosque’s management committee. The court has mandated that the mosque committee bears the expenses for the whitewashing, with a deadline of one week. The ASI report will determine additional conditions to be reviewed by the court on April 8. This directive aims to preserve the historical significance of the mosque and ensure its maintenance in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh.
