In a successful rescue mission, an Indian military C-17 plane airlifted 283 citizens who were stranded at the Thai-Myanmar border following a scam involving call centers in Myawaddy, Myanmar. The victims, lured by fraudulent job offers, were subjected to exploitation and forced to participate in online scams under appalling conditions. Plans are underway to bring back an additional 240 individuals in the near future. The authorities orchestrated a well-coordinated effort to ensure the safe return of these Indian nationals.
