NHAI Introduces Variable UPI System at Toll Plazas to Eliminate Cash Payments and Improve Fee Collection

NHAI is set to introduce a variable UPI payment system at toll plazas across India, starting with a trial at Kherki Dhaula toll plaza in Haryana. This move is aimed at eliminating cash transactions, ensuring precise fee collection, improving convenience, reducing transaction time, and preventing fraud such as unauthorized fund transfers through parallel software. The system will soon be rolled out nationwide to streamline toll payments.
