Singapore-based investment company Temasek has acquired a 9-10% stake in Haldiram Snacks Foods, a leading Indian FMCG company, for over Rs 8,500 crore, reflecting a valuation of approximately $10 billion. The deal, finalized on March 11, underscores the growing trend of foreign investment in India’s fast-moving consumer goods sector. Talks are also underway with Blackstone and Alpha Wave Global for an additional 5% stake in the company. This strategic move by Temasek is expected to further strengthen Haldiram’s position in the market and drive its growth trajectory.
