Kannada actress Ranya Rao faced a setback as the Bangalore Sessions Court rejected her bail plea following her apprehension on charges of smuggling gold worth Rs 12.56 crore. The authorities intercepted the actress with 14.2 kg of gold at the airport, leading to her arrest. The case took a further turn with the arrest of Sahil Jain, a gold dealer from Ballari, who is believed to have aided Rao in the illicit activity.
