A massive Bitcoin whale wallet recently purchased $200 million worth of Bitcoin, adding to its position after selling over 11,400 Bitcoin in previous months. The whale now holds over 15,000 Bitcoin, valued at $1.3 billion, according to data from Arkham Intelligence. This purchase coincided with a rebound in Bitcoin prices, which have been fluctuating between $81,000 and $88,000 in the past week. Another significant Bitcoin whale, after eight years of dormancy, moved over 3,000 Bitcoin worth $250 million in a single transaction on March 22. BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has been steadily accumulating more Bitcoin over the past week, with a total stash of 573,878 Bitcoin worth over $50 billion. The company also led a rally of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the US, with a net inflow of $744.4 million. In addition to Bitcoin, a lone Ether whale added 7,074 Ether to its stash on March 21, worth $13.8 million. Despite Ether’s price movement between $1,876 and $2,097 in the last week, it has seen a surge in open interest and an increase in the number of addresses holding significant amounts of Ether. This activity indicates a growing interest in cryptocurrencies among major investors.
