The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is set to carry out its inaugural census to collect information on drug addiction, de-addiction facilities, and the socio-economic standing of impacted individuals. This initiative is part of the ‘Badalda Punjab Budget,’ which also includes plans to increase health insurance coverage and tackle cross-border drug trafficking. The government anticipates a significant debt of nearly Rs 4.2 lakh crore.
