A gynaecologist at the Government Area Hospital in Zaheerabad has been terminated for redirecting pregnant women to private facilities, as per district officials. The Sangareddy District Collector conducted an investigation that led to the dismissal of the gynaecologist. Additionally, show-cause notices have been served to two primary health centre doctors for negligence. This action comes as a part of the authorities’ efforts to crack down on malpractices and ensure that pregnant women receive appropriate care at government healthcare facilities in Zaheerabad. The district officials are committed to upholding the quality of healthcare services provided to pregnant women and are taking necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
