Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus recently visited Beijing where he signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement and eight MoUs with China. The agreements covered various sectors including cultural heritage, media, sports, and health. During the visit, Yunus had a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss ways to enhance bilateral trade and investment between the two countries. They also talked about cooperation on important projects such as the Teesta River project and the modernization of the Mongla port. This visit signifies the strengthening of ties between Bangladesh and China in key areas of mutual interest.
