Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) turned into net sellers of Rs 1,27,401 crore in the fiscal year 2025, with a noticeable decrease in selling activities in March. Conversely, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) purchased Rs 6,06,368 crore worth of securities during the same period. The altered approach by FIIs in March played a significant role in propelling Nifty’s upward trajectory. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) recently introduced a new threshold for beneficial ownership disclosures, while the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) raised the investment cap, both initiatives aimed at enhancing market liquidity. These developments are expected to stimulate further investment activities and bolster the overall performance of the Indian financial market.
