The Indian government has recently confirmed that the interest rates for small savings schemes will remain stable for the initial quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The popular Public Provident Fund (PPF) will sustain a 7.1% interest rate, while the National Savings Certificate (NSC) will continue at 7.7%. Additionally, both the Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS) and the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) will offer an 8.2% interest rate. These rates are subject to quarterly revisions as per specified guidelines to maintain competitiveness in the market.
