Government Maintains Post Office Small Savings Schemes Rates for Q1 FY 2025-26, PPF at 7.1% – NSC at 7.7%

The Indian government recently declared that there will be no changes in the interest rates for small savings schemes in the initial quarter of the financial year 2025-26. Popular schemes such as Public Provident Fund (PPF) will maintain its interest rate at 7.1%, National Savings Certificate (NSC) at 7.7%, and Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS) along with Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) at 8.2%. These rates are set through quarterly reviews in adherence to established guidelines to ensure competitiveness.
