India is on track to significantly increase its solar PV module manufacturing capacity to 125 GW by 2030, up from the current 80 GW, with solar cell capacity expected to rise to 40 GW. Minister Pralhad Joshi emphasized the importance of local manufacturing and the incentives provided by the government to boost the renewable energy sector. The country has set ambitious goals to double its renewable energy capacity by 2030 and position itself as a global leader in sustainable energy. As part of this initiative, efforts will also be made to enhance connectivity to more villages, ensuring that clean energy reaches even the most remote areas of the country.
