Police in Nagpur have apprehended Faizan Khatib, a member of an Islamist outfit, and another individual, Shahbaz Qazi, following a 10-day manhunt after riots in the area. Khatib, who had previously been in Akola, returned to Nagpur in time for Eid celebrations. CCTV footage linked him to inciting violence among the mobs. This arrest marks the third significant apprehension in connection with the riots, following Fahim Khan and Hamid Engineer. Khatib is facing charges that include rioting, arson, and molestation.
